Les Bien-Aimés
French director Christophe Honoré delivers the worst French film in recent memory with this pretentious musical drama. The story of a mother and daughter at different times of their lives as they struggle with love and men. It's shallow film with too many clichés that tries to be profound and meaningful by mentioning serious subjects as AIDS and 9/11 that derails the film. The talented cast including Catherine Deneuve, Chiara Mastroianni and Ludivine Sagnier can't save the disaster which is a shame. 1001-Films' coverage of the 64th Festival de Cannes.
