The Yellow Sea
Korean writer and director Na Hong-jin returns with another heart pounding thriller. A Korean-Chinese cab driver travels to Seoul to look for his wife and gets caught in a murder that has the cops and gangsters chase him. Hong-jin delivers an hyper kinetic action film that's one of the most bloody and violent films to hit the screen as bodies literally pile up. On the story level it's a let down because the violent action overwhelms the film. He reunites with his stars Yun-seok Kim and Jung-woo Ha from his smashing debut "The Chaser." 1001-Films' coverage of the 64th Festival de Cannes.
