The Company Men

Writer and director John Wells made his feature debut with drama about the effects of corporate downsizing on individuals. After becoming the victims of corporate downsizing in their firm, three men react differently to their situation which leads to face the harsh reality in corporate America. Wells taps into the economic crisis and corporate greed to show what's wrong in the picture. While he has noble intentions, there's no new ground explored and the problems and solutions too simplified. Ben Affleck, Chris Cooper and Tommy Lee Jones star in the leads who all deliver familiar performances from their previous work. The supporting cast includes Rosemarie DeWitt, Maria Bello and Kevin Costner fare better with their underwritten roles. YRCinema's coverage of films on DVD.
