French writer and director Leos Carax returns after a long absence with this original and inventive film. A day in the life of a mysterious performance artist who makes strange and startling visits. Carax explores cinema and several genres to some great effect and others less so that makes for uneven but striking film. The film is also a showcase for its star and frequent Carax collaborator Denis Lavant who delivers outstanding performances.
