A woman's discovery of her husband's infidelity leads her to expose the scope of his betrayal. Ye's domestic thriller shows how the rapid changes in Chinese society has destroyed the fabric of society where marriage is not sacred anymore but another opportunity for the rich to do as they please. The film's criticism of Chinese society is more subtle than Ye's previous work.
