Lawrence Anyways
Canadian writer and director Xavier Dolan reaches a new height with his impressive third feature. A decade in the life of a man who decides to have a sex change while hoping to hold onto a woman he loves. Dolan's heartbreaking film is a revelation in many ways that crashes stereo types and prejudices to give center stage to a character at the margin of society who looks for love and acceptance without being ostracized in the process of self realization. Dolan reaches an artistic triumph without sacrificing substance but enhance it through his dazzling visual style. French star Melvil Poupaud delivers a terrific and brave performance as the lead along with a stellar supporting cast that includes Nathalie Baye, Suzanne Clément and Dolan regular Monia Chokri. 1001 Films' coverage of the 65th Festival de Cannes.

I just cannot wait to see Laurence Anyways. Dolan directing Melvil, sounds like heaven. I would love to see Dolan direct Melvil again in the future, write a role for him. He's the best actor in the french speaking world imo.
